Mike Pringle MSP has questioned the Government's commitment to school building. His comments came following exchanges with the Fiona Hyslop, the Cabinet Secretary for Education and Lifelong Learning during themed questions.

Mike Pringle said;

"The Government's commitment to school building is in serious question.

"The Cabinet Sectary for Finance and Sustainable Growth has said time and time again that he'll bring forward a statement to Parliament on the funding approach for the next elements of the schools estate programme, but he won't say when. Two years after the SNP took office councils are STILL waiting for Scottish Futures Trust to offer any kind of funding.

"There is no news yet about funding for Edinburgh's vital Wave 3 school building programme, all Fiona Hyslop has done today is further delayed answering the question."
