Commenting on the vandalism of Fred Goodwin's house, Liberal Democrat MSP for Edinburgh South Mike Pringle said:

"It is right that we have a debate over the unjustified and unacceptable pension gifted to Mr Goodwin. It is, however, wrong that his home should be targeted for attack.

"He and his family have the right to live without the fear of violence. The police should treat this case as they would any other crime."
